In 2017, Oregon passed the Equal Pay Act. This Act greatly expanded Oregon’s existing pay equity law to include an unprecedented ten protected classes and a prohibition on asking about applicants’ pay history. It also provides new remedies and damages for employees, which will take effect on January 1, 2019.
